Mark W. Weller

Mark Weller represents corporations, industry associations, physician groups and hospitals, in federal legislative and regulatory matters before Congress and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). Mark is a member of the Public Policy Practice with a primary focus on market planning and development, direct lobbying and regulatory counseling. Mark has achieved success in a broad range of health care issues involving the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), laboratory payment, diagnostic imaging, drug pricing, and pharmacy compounding. He also assists hospitals in the safe patient discharge of foreign nationals back to hospitals and care facilities in their home countries.

To carry out lobbying and regulatory initiatives Mark regularly creates and manages multi-member coalitions around a common goal, often based on major legislative or policy issues in Washington, D.C. He also has experience in the design and management of communication initiatives for crises management and litigation strategies. Mark was the founder and director of a medical technology consulting firm and previously led the Health and Life Sciences practice at a Washington D.C.- based firm. He also served as Legislative Director to a six-term U.S. senator.
